Galactic Credit
This is the galactic form of currency. These are coin-shaped containers that store Luminothrium used foropening rifts into Hyperspace, the demension used for FTL flights. Each coin can be loaded or emptied using equipment that inserts itself into the center area of the coin. Each coin has different fill lines denominating what the coin is worth. The fill lines are clear, showing the exotic matter's glow.
Scanners ensure that the correct readings are shown by reacting to the matter. This prevents trickery and counterfeiting.
There is a digital equivalent that can be swapped for at exchange sites and storage banks.
